Legacy gifts are planned and strategic charitable investments
that can provide you with important tax benefits now and in the future.
Your planned gift also gives you the satisfaction of supporting the
excellent patient care, education and research programs of Mission
Legacy giving options are summarized below.
Charitable Bequests - including one of Mission’s hospitals
in your will and other estate plans generously supports our mission of
healing for years to come.
Charitable Lead Trusts - often incorporated into long-term plans to
transfer wealth to children or grandchildren. A charitable lead trust
provides important current support to the Mission Health Department of Philanthropy and also helps
donors greatly reduce their estate and gift taxes when wealth is passed
on to heirs.
Life-Income Gifts - gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts and
the pooled income funds. These gifts provide donors with an income
stream, significant tax savings and the satisfaction of supplying a
Mission Department of Philanthropy with vital long-term philanthropic resources.
We can provide you and/or your professional advisor with detailed
information on the planned giving options that can most effectively meet
your financial needs.

Grateful Patient Gifts
Many people have asked how they can recognize the outstanding
professionals who cared for them or their loved ones during a stay at
one of Mission’s hospitals. Now there is a way, through the Grateful
Patient Program. This program provides a way for you to say "thank you"
to a caregiver who provided excellent care and service to you or a loved
one along with the option of making a monetary gift in their honor.
Contact one of our team to request a Grateful Patient Program pack.
By thanking these silent heroes, you will help provide the hospital with
much-needed equipment and technology upgrades.
Recognize the special people in your life with a tribute gift.
Memorial gifts help remind us of those we have lost. When you make a
gift to a Mission Department of Philanthropy in memory of someone, we will send a
letter to a person you designate (keeping the amount confidential) or,
if you prefer, you can send a note personally.
Honor gifts are a wonderful way to acknowledge special people or
life events such as an important holiday, birthday, anniversary or
arrival of a new baby. A donation in honor of the recipient will make a
difference in the life of a patient, child or local family. When you
make a gift in honor of someone, we will send a letter to this person
(keeping the amount confidential) or, if you prefer, you can send a note
Thank you for your interest in giving a gift of real estate. For
more information on how to make a gift of real estate please contact one
of our team.
Did you know you can multiply your gift at no additional cost to you?
Thousands of companies nationwide will match an employee's charitable
contribution sometimes doubling or even tripling the amount of the
original gift. In some cases, companies will even match gifts made by
retired employees. Securing a matching gift from your employer is an
easy way to increase the value of your gift to the Foundation for Mission Health. The human resources department of your employer can tell
you more about its matching gift policy and how you can request a
matching gift for your favorite charities.
